As you’ll gather from my blog posts and featured articles,
I have some very definite ideas
about the grace of God, and I have a passion to share what I’ve
been
learning in these regards. |
My Bio:
I became a Christian in 1983 while attending Mankato State
University. As a new convert, I became active in a campus ministry
called the Navigators. This group was very committed to evangelism and
disciplemaking … and very serious about developing disciplined,
committed, obedient followers of Jesus Christ. Thrilled to be “in
Christ” and surrounded by several new friends, the next three years
were a very meaningful time in my early Christian growth. Then, in my
fourth year, life threw me a curve and I found myself in conflict with
the performance driven aspects of this group.
The next few years were a whirlwind of trying to sort things out.
Somewhere around 1991, channel-surfing the AM radio dial, I stumbled
across a Christian radio station broadcasting a live call-in talk show
with a unique perspective on God’s grace which I’d never heard before.
During the next several months, I listened intently to Bob George and
the “People to People” radio broadcast where I learned more fully about
God’s grace and the Believer’s identity in Jesus Christ. Several years
later, I’m still floored by this awesome message of His transforming
grace!
It’s my driving passion to see others experience these same grace
truths that are setting people free from the chains of legalism. Please

Doctrinal Statement:
In addition to being passionate about the Believer's new identity in
Christ, and living in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, I believe
the following:
The
Scriptures:
Inspired by God, authoritative
and without
error in the original manuscripts ... preserved through
the ages by divine providence.
The
Trinity:
One God in three distinct persons ... Father, Son and
Holy Spirit.
Justification
by Faith:
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone ...
with absolutely
nothing else added (Eph. 2:8-9). It is a gift of grace given
to
all who respond to offer to save freely those who will enter in by
faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as our only
hope of eternal life (Rom. 6:23).
The
Exclusivity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ:
Jesus (God, the Son) is the exclusive
Savior of lost
souls. He alone is "the way, the truth, and the
life" -
John 14:6.
Heaven,
Hell and Eternal Judgment:
Those who trust in Jesus finished work (death, burial
and resurrection)
will live eternally with Him in heaven.
Unfortunately,
those who reject His provision will be condemned to face everlasting
torment in hell (described by Jesus as a terrible place where people
will weep and gnash their teeth).
The
Eternal Security of Believers:
Genuine Believers cannot lose their salvation, since
they are
completely forgiven, saved and sealed for the day of redemption.
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus
(Rom.
8:1).
The
Imminent Return of Christ:
Jesus promised to come again at the end of the age,
and He could return at any moment. Are you prepared?
